Pendleton Quilt Works

is owned and operated by
Rachelle Doherty, with the help of
a great staff: Colleen Blackwood,
Tina Witherell and Malina Lindell.
All the staff are knowledgable and
have different areas of expertise.
Colleen & Tina are both award
winning, published quilters.

PQW opened in 2003 and has
grown into a comfortable,
inspiring and fun place to quilt or
just hang out.

October 2006 we moved into our
beautiful new home.  We reside in
a historic, 100 year old building at
138 SE Court, right on the corner
of SE Court and 2nd.  Finding us is
easy, click on the link on the
'contact us' page for a map and
driving instructions.

We here at PQW feel very lucky to
have such great customers.  Our
customers share their lives as
well as quilting.  We are a large
circle of friends.  We would love
you to join our circle.

We have lost one of the most
amazing women I've ever
known.
I think I can speak for all
who knew her or crossed paths
with her when I say we are
better people and have stronger
souls for her being in our lives!
Carrie Ann Fernald left this world
on Monday, June 15th.  She was
just 54 years young and spent the
last 5 years battling A.L.S.

Carrie was an active camper,
water skier, quilter and friend.
There are not words to explain
the imprint she had on friends.  I
attended her memorial service this
past week-end and to be in the
room filled with so much love and
respect for this woman was
overwhelming!  I really can't
express the love and admiration I
had for her.  If I can be half as
strong in the face of challenge
and adversity as she was every
single day the past 5 years, I still
wouldn't match up to her.  She
inspired everyone around her.  If
you knew her, you know exactly
what I mean, If you didn't know
her, I'll do my best to live like she
did, then perhaps people can
know her through me.

I love you Carrie and will treasure
our time together!  xoxo

Carrie was an advocate for ALS
lobbying in Washington DC for a
